03/17/2003 Archived Entry: "War, What Is It Good For?"

What a beautiful day it was today. We apparently set a new record high temperature! Today was a pretty good day in general. The Pmath midterm went well. At first I totally freaked out because I couldn’t remember how DeMorgan’s Law worked, so I had to spend a few minutes deriving it. It was one of those moments where you KNOW it’s a certain way but then you write it down and start to doubt yourself. “OMG, is it THIS way or THAT way?”

I got my 3rd Econ midterm back today. I did much better than I thought; 85%. I was expecting something around 70%. No complaints. Classes like that are so much easier than CS/Math classes. All you have to do is skim the textbook and take the tests. I think I do about one tenth of the work that I do for my core courses and still have similar or better marks.

It looks like the U.S and friends are going to war no matter what anyone else has to say about it. Bush is going to tell Saddam to leave Iraq tonight at 8pm. Make sure you watch it, I’m sure he’ll have a few interesting things to say. To me, it’s not about whether or not Iraq has weapons of mass destruction or not anymore. This is about the U.S. saying “we want to take out Saddam”, for whatever reason, brushing aside all diplomatic solutions and going right to war. And that’s scary. If they can just bully around Iraq, imagine what they’ll get away with next?

I hope to God that Iraq has no “weapons of mass destruction”. What if they did? Dubya would then be in a position to tell the world “I told you so” and have the moral right to do whatever the heck he wants. Which is not good. I don’t care how right he may be or the fact that he’s “President of the United States of America”, I have no respect for the man and think he’s a downright psycho.

He's just trying to finish what his father couldn't take care of. Bush is so stupid though because he can't even finish one war before he starts another...interesting. If he wants to leave a legacy behind that's fine, but the one he's leaving makes him look like a jackass :)

Well now sonny', let's just get our facts straight shall we?
We ALL know the american, er.. rather the North American economy has been going downhill since anyone can remember. There are no jobs out there for the people. And it is the people, the very heart and soul of our nation, that truly matter in the end. Which is WHY Saddam Hussein MUST be eviscerated! C'mon now, our government is strapped as it is on cash for the people, and we ALL know it is the PEOPLE that are truly important, therefore we can all draw the same conclusion! Saddam Hussein MUST be overthrown!
