I had the choice to go clubbing tonight with about 6 girls but I chose to stay home! I love clubbing; I love being around teens and tweens drinking and dancing. It's a really energetic atmosphere. Maybe it was the nap I took, or the rayne outside but when time came to go, I just "didn't feel like it". I just didn't feel like I had the physical energy to be around energetic people. Horrible. So here I am writing about what I didn't do tonight. Great!

Anyways, I'm gonna start up a DVD soon. Either "Spirited Away", "Man in the Iron Mask" or "Waking Life". I bought the later two at future shop today for a total of 20$! What an awesome price! Especially the 8$ "Waking Life" (which you should all see).

Speaking of movies you've never heard of, you guys should all check out the immensely under-marketed "Equilibrium". The movie is a combination of Brave New World, 1984, Gattaca and The Matrix. It's smart plus it has some incredible gun fights.

For a really informative article about movie audio, go here and learn something.

Shipping and Handling is the bane of my existance. Anyone going to Hong Kong soon?

I am going to HK next week, what should I purchase for you?

Brave New World was a pretty cool book and I was really excited to see 'Equilibrium' but the comments I've heard from people havne't been that positive. It's been sitting on my hard drive for months, I should make the time and watch it.

My friends watched it one night. Most of them liked it....I slept through it. :) Though I remembered enough of it at the end that I asked if the movie was a remake of 1984. lol. Who says you don't pay any attention when you're sleeping!

Ya, sleeping works quite well for paying attention in class too ;)

Provided you get to class before you start sleeping.

getting out of bed seems to be much more of a problem this term. before i could always get up after two snooze hits, but now i'm always going on three or four. i just can't justify not taking another hit. i mean, it's another 7 minutes of bliss. another 7 minutes i can forget about work, and my life, and just relax, and mellow out.

ha ha ha :)

Ahah this morning i woke up after 11 snooze and went to work late...
I was pretty ashamed of myself too, but at least i did good stuff yesterday night instead of sleeping: alternating obsessing myslef with what the hell happened in The end of Evangelion and reading Harry Potter. :)

I fell asleep around 4:30am, i think... *yawns*.

"7 minutes of bliss" sounds like a drug high.

it was supposed to sound like that :P

I did a strange dream this morning while not fully awake, and it was induced by this thread lol.

The snooze on my alarm lasts 9 minutes, 2 minutes more than Shawn's one. His reply mentioning a 7 minute snooze might have marked me in come way because this morning, when hit the snooze button, i was SURE it wasnt my alarm that was ringing, but shawn's one that for some reason rang in my room. I was really angry because i thought that the snoozes last 2 minutes less than usual, and kept mumbling stuff like: "stupid shawns alarm...vsoivn...sdvnkj... 7 minutes is not enough... etc."

when i woke up i realized how silly the whole thing was.

Posted by Étienne @ 07/22/2003 12:29 PM EST

(...of course i mumbled it in french. It sounded more like : "maudit cadran de shawn...sdsdvsd...fbddfb...c'est pas assez, 7 minutes, osti... etc)

maybe you were dreaming that you were sharing shawn's bed!!!

Posted by Rayne @ 07/22/2003 03:56 PM EST

I prefer the idea of sharing his alarm...

if you say so!

I went out drinking with a few friends on Saturday night and at bar close none of us were able to drive. So we decided to walk Karen home. She lives up one of the mountains in Penticton. So at 2 something am, we walked up to her house, took a cab back to the Barking Parrot and Matt drove me and Cam home (by then we were all sober). I didn't get in till about 4:20 am and didn't get to sleep until 5 am. I had to get up at 6 am and drive about 6 hours to Victoria. Damn was I tired! Actually I just got back and I still am...bed time!

it's like this is her journal or something =)

did you actually drive andrea or did someone else do the driving? cuz a 6 hour drive with 1 hour of sleep doesnt' sound like the smartest thing in the world.

Posted by Rayne @ 07/23/2003 12:05 PM EST

Ash (my sister) drove.
And more people read your site. Makes me feel important ;)

what a kind sister!
I'd find it amusing if people started posting about their lives instead of commenting on whatever I've written, not that these threads don't go horribly off-topic already.
