The Long Road
09/03/2003 Archived Entry: "Europe"
Sometimes I just don't feel like writing something, sometimes I have nothing to write about, sometimes I don't have the time for it, and sometimes, like last night, I just fall asleep at 7pm without having put up what I wrote!
I was talking to my dad the other day, we were reminscing about our road trip down to Florida a few years back and how it'd be fun to do so again. I told him about how four girls I knew were all off in Europe for a whole month this summer. Going for a whirlwind tour of Europe somehow just seems like the thing to do. It's weird, I can easily picture two girl-friends going off for a month to Europe, but two guy-friends...? Can't picture it. I'd need a group of three, at least.
Anyways, my dad thought Europe was a wonderful idea and suggested that we ALL went after my graduation. We could stay in Sweden with family that we have there and they could show us around to all the nice, quaint, little spots. Eu...NOT what I was thinking.
Sure hanging out with parents and such is fun but what kind of nightlife could I possibly have with parents and 40+ year old cousins in tow? Not the kind I have in mind!

I know a couple of girls that went to Europe for a while. I'd love to do it with a friend or two.
A couple of us from out here tried to organise a road trip out to Ontario to visit some people at the end of summer but it didn't work out. :( Hopefully sometime in the near future it will.

I should be done by then. Though I want to see England and France most...and maybe Italia.

I think you should do both!
whirlwind tour and visiting family, they would show very different aspects of europe. :P
Heh, who knows, if you want to have a french companion with you for the "adventure" wild part... :P
