09/08/2003 Archived Entry: "Books I read last term"

Sigh, it's sad to think of the summer as "last term" already!

Dune: House Atreides, Dune: House Harkonnen, Dune: House Corrino. Good books though they're not as good or as smart as the originals.

Saturn Rukh: My fourth book by Robert Forward. Smart and imaginative but it's way too similar in terms of plot/characters/aliens to the other books of his that I've read.

Les Trois Mousquetaires: Took me a LONG time to read it but I'm glad I did if for no other reason than knowing the TRUE story that so many movies are based on.

Tigana: Guy Gavriel Kay has amazing prose and his characters are always smart and interesting, my favorite book by him so far.

The Manticore, World of Wonders: Books two and three of The Deptford Trilogy. Book one is my fave but only because I found the main character more interesting. These two books are just as well written.

Okay, sorry about that reply, it was pretty cheap.

I'll tell a bit about myself, pretending for a moment that i'm the blogger who's supposed to blog on thai's weblogger.

I hope you, darryl shawn are doing well at the u of waterloo, im procrastinating as much as i can in sherbrooke, having lots of fun with my friends and watching great new animes (fruits basket right now, it's GREAT, so full of unnecessary cheesiness, warm smiles and warm tears. im going to play them to my children someday, it could turn any spoiled, violent kid into some kind of ultra-caring conscious-of-the-others person. ask my roommate!). well, enough japanimation talk now.

My courses are pretty cool, i guess Economics was the right field for me. The residences are still ugly and in a very low shape, yet it feels a lot like home to me. :P

I wanna say once more that i hope you're doing well, sarah told me to express you all a very warm Hello (consider it done) and we must manage a way to get together sometime!

Wow, im feeling rather emotinal, so this will end my post. Itekimasu!
