I was gotten drunk and taken advantage of!

So I’m at a bar and there’s a girl I’m after. I suppose things were going well (it’s never easy to tell). After a certain point in the night, when I’m already quite intoxicated, one of her friends just keeps handing me money and says “get yourself and her a drink”. Never one to pass up free alcohol, the girl and I run the guy at least 6 drinks. So what happens when at the end of the night when I’m so drunk I don’t care about anything at all? I see the girl go home with the guy who kept feeding us alcohol.

Its bad cuz I didn't get the girl!

She was drunk.

And I'm pretty certain that he was a friend.

it was so funny how this revelation came to thai! the guy bought me a drink too, but i had assumed this girl was dating the guy in question or something. after the revelation there was much drunken yelling and such about what a tricksey bastard the guy was, among other topics.

this incident defies both of the rules i accept about guys and girls... weird.

1. girls are the devil. so this girl was drunk and probably didn't know what she was doing, so she can't be the devil. she wasn't being aluring or flirtatious to my knowledge

2. guys are stupid. this guy was obviously not stupid if his intention was to distract all others with free alcohol in order to be the one to take the girl home.

so, i am completely baffled. and if that guy went in there with the plan to force feed everyone hanging around him alcohol so as to make them ingnorant of his underlying motives... wow. now THAT is devilish behaviour.

Thai, now lets assume that your initial assumption that the guy is the girl's friend is incorrect. From your original entry, I felt an odd vibe about the whole scenario. The guy basically used you to get her drunk. If it were her "friend", I'd assume he'd keep her to himself or at least spend some of the time with her.

My primary assumption is that he was planning to get her drunk all along so that he can use her. Now why would he do such a thing through you and not directly?

1) Since you're already with her and she's willing to be around you, she may already possess a certain trust in you. Therefore, it may be easier for her to be getting drinks with you instead of second guessing herself about the other guy's motives (or yours for that matter).

2) That night (if it were to be necessary to recall the events of the night), people would be more likely to remember you being around the girl and not the guy. This precaution may have been taken in the event that something goes wrong later that night and the girl files a police report for rape or is murdered (I know it sounds farfetched, but bear with me...:P).

However, a police report was never filed because she is alive and well, but does not remember anything about things that happened later on in the night. As you guys were enjoying the dudes hospitality, he may have managed to use a drug in her drink. You may claim, "No way!", but its possible you were too drunk to ever notice. Who knows, she may have even been drugged after she left.

But there's always scenario number two, where you and Shawn had a memory loss that night as well...LOL!!!!
