The Long Road
10/10/2004 Archived Entry: "Clothes"
So at home, and looking for something warm to wear out and am running into stuff I bought when I was working at The Bay. Up until then I think it was mostly my mom who bought me clothing and I didn't really have my own "style" yet. I was pretty much okay with any clothes that didn't stand out too much, that I was comfortable in, and fit into some weird notion I had of "normal" clothing. I started buying my own clothes when I for a job at The Bay. A lot of my paychecks went towards purchases there, which is now one of my favorite stores. I think I got a lot of stuff that didn't really fit me properly at the time, or at least I was into clothes that didn't fit properly. Looking into my stack of clothing that I haven't worn in 5 years, I discovered a Levi's shirt that I think used to fit okay but now looks like it could fit two of me in it. There's also the Tommy shirt which I'm wearing now which used to be super tight around the chest and neck and now fits pretty much perfectly. What was I thinking when I bought this stuff anyways? Seems pretty clear that they didn't fit then. It also leaves me to wonder if I've really shurnk THAT much in the last 5 years that uncomfortably tight clothes now fit. Perhaps I fat in high school and no one bothered to tell me so?
