This video from the BBC on Blue Whales is probably the best thing available on youtube, or perhaps even all of the internets! There's just something cool and primal about large animals, that's why we have a dinosaur fixation and probably why we've hunted just about anything bigger than us to extinction. Blue whales, being the biggest things ever, are thus the coolest things ever. The best shots in this video are the top-down ones, seeing their entire giant bodies gliding through the water reminds me of subs and it'd be really great if we got some shots of tiny little humans swimming along beside these great beasts, for comparison's sake.

Swim along Blue Whales? Well, not only can we not swim at 20 knots, but only the fastest few can achieve such a speed on foot...:P! Unless of course, you grab hold of the thing. Whales don't really fascinate me...they're like amoeba...not much to observe.

I'm more fascinated with the social behaviours of primates and how similar, yet at the same time different, they are from us. They can even protect your valuables...

I doubt the whales are constantly maintaining 20 knots. They CAN reach it, that is all.
