Okay, you internet people, this is where I enlist you to do some analysis for me. The set up is as follows:
L: "Hi K, I'll be visiting E this weekend, maybe we can find some time to get together?"
K: "Sure! Here's my phone number, call me when you're here."
E and L are having dinner with F. K calls E.
E: "K says she'll be at The Tulip with some friends around 10 and that we can join her or maybe she'll join us if we want to do something else"
L: "This is strangely outgoing of her."
2 hours later.
L: "K, what are you up to?"
K: "We're playing cards at home still, we'll be heading out at 10. Have you guys decided what you'll be doing yet?"
L: "Not yet. We'll probably meet you at Tulip though."
11 pm.
E: "Where you at?"
K: "Still playing cards, heading out soon though."
E: "okay, well we're at 3 Brasseurs, meet us there if you want."
K: "okay, if I don't see you tonight, we'll hang out tomorrow."
E: "okay."
Tomorrow
E: "Should we call K?"
L: "probably not"
So, why did she contact us to make plans and then not make any effort to follow through? I'm not sure if I've conveilled that properly, but it's completely how it came off as to E and I. I have my own opinion, but we'll get to that later.

girls are fickle, haven't i taught you anything yet?
anyway, i don't think it sounds like very concrete plans were actually made. you were invited to join her already made plans or "maybe" she'd join you with whatever you guys got up to.
but it sounds like her pre-made plans kind of changed she continued along with them.
of course, there's probably more back stories to this whole thing that you're leaving out. it makes the analysis so much more difficult.

Sounds like she was stalling. Did you or E actually hear people in the background when you guys spoke to her over the phone?
The big kicker is at 11PM. At first she states she'll be heading out soon...but then quickly retorts with, "if I don't see you tonight, we'll hang out tomorrow". It was all pre-meditated. She didn't seem interested in heading out at all. She designed a cover story to throw off T...when that didn't work, she pretended to play the night away (cards).

Hate to derail a conspiracy theory, but perhaps her plans to go to The Tulip were fairly firm (so she couldn't just up and go to 3 Brasseurs) and they just wound up getting sidetracked by cards and were a little late.
(I do acknowledge that I have no idea who or where you're talking about, so this argument may be useless)

i'm not defending her actions - i'm just saying that when someone says you should just join their pre-made plans, it can speak volumes (i.e., you're kind of an afterthought)

Dunno Thai, I recall once being told "meet us at such and such a bar at 10pm" -- you were the only one who showed up, and the rest of your friends showed about an hour later.. (and you probably showed only because being late would have meant losing your "privileges" :P)
For myself, bars aren't my favourite places, so if I can stay home and have fun, I will usually opt to do so. Your comment on "how outgoing of her" sounds like she could be that way too?
Part of it's just laziness, too. C'mon Thai.. you've done the same, surely.
(And a side note: You know you've been too exposed to French when you spell "conveyed" as "conveilled"? :P)

well, she did offer to ditch her friends to meet up with us. Which led us to some amount of confusion since, like I said, it was uncharacteriscally generous. The confusion was compounded by the lack of follow through.
Anyways, my thought was that she indeed didn't want to go to The Tulip (dancing isn't her thing apparently) so made some kind of alternative plans for when her friends would all end up there. However, when playing cards proved more fun than anticipated, she stuck with it and at 11, she probably decided that coming to find us was more trouble than it was worth and stuck with the friends and the original plan.
